About the Summit
The Kano Girls’ Education Summit 2025 is a high-level gathering, organised by Bridge Connect Africa Initiative in partnership with the Kano State Government and with support from Malala Fund under the Bridging Access to Girls’ Education (BAGE) Project, scheduled to hold on 17th to 18th October 2025 at Dangote Business School, Bayero University Kano.
The Summit will convene key education actors in Kano State to consolidate reform efforts, amplify grassroots voices, and strengthen political and institutional commitments toward equitable education financing and improved service delivery for girls in Kano State.
Structure of the Summit
Day 1:
- Declaration of the summit
- Screening of the documentary (From Policy to Progress: Girls’ Education after the Declaration of State of Emergency in Education in Kano State)
- Mentorship session for girls, parents and community leaders
Day 2: Main Summit featuring structured presentations and panel discussions.
Key Highlights
- Commitment Session – Signing of Communiqué & GREB Adoption/Implementation Statement by Government Representative
- Launch of the Edquity Platform.
