In 2023, our team visited a rural community in Dambatta Local Government Area of Kano state, upon arrival, they met an almost empty classroom with children in the community either hawking, going to the farm, or playing around the school environment. They engaged the principal an elderly man in his 50s, who explained the issues he has faced trying to get students in the community to come to school, with the attendance rate dropping drastically. 

We knew there was a problem so we had to find it out.
