Abbas is the Youth Engagement and Leadership Development Lead at Bridge Connect Africa Initiative (BCAI), where he designs and oversees programs that translate youth engagement into measurable policy and governance outcomes. He manages initiatives that equip young people to advocate effectively, participate in decision-making, and drive community accountability. With seven years of experience across Northern Nigeria, Abbas has led interventions that contributed to the domestication of Child Protection Laws and advanced implementation of the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Act.

He applies evidence-based advocacy, stakeholder coordination, and youth mobilization to ensure programs deliver tangible results, including increased youth representation in local governance and strengthened mechanisms for community oversight. His work ensures BCAI delivers community-informed, youth-driven solutions that promote equitable governance and amplify young people’s role in decision-making.
